The summer of 2022 has brought my University journey to an end and with it some exiting updates regarding short film projects along with it. To finish the course, my final project was "Liar," which I wrote and directed, a production which from start to finish took about 8 weeks.

Liar was an experimental film filmed with the intention to directly compare the effect handheld camera has on a scene. In order to compare the use of a handheld camera, the film is shot almost entirely Multi-cam. In essence, there is a version of the film which is roughly 80% stabilised with a tripod or steady-cam and a version which is almost entirely handheld. Alternatively the film has been edited which uses both cameras in accordance to what best fits each shot or scene. The handheld camera which shot the film is my own Canon M50 on a shoulder rig and the stabilised camera is a borrowed Canon Eos R. The main production took two days to film, the edit was over three days, then two days for colouring and four days for music and sound design. The final runtime Is 18 minutes long.

In other news, "Dodging the Dead," a comedy horror with a runtime of 10 minutes which was directed by myself, written by Edward Rutter and produced by Lewis Donnelan. The film is currently in its festival run (August, 2022) after being filmed late 202. So far the film has been shown in the 'B Beside The Seaside international Film Festival' in Southport. The "Dead Boss Production's" team was awarded third place for best film poster in the 'Lit Scares' International Horror Festival and was also semi finalist for best student film and best comedy horror. For more updates on the films progress as we have entered a total of 9 Film festivals and are yet to hear from 7 of them, check out our instagram: https://www.instagram.com/deadbossfilms/
